Think Green? - Soon!

Green, Green, Green

Green! Green! Green!
What’s up with this theme?

Straight, gay, dike or queen
They’re all wearing green

It’s like it’s the “In Thing”
Pants, Skirt, or that kilt something

Green, green, green
It is the color in the denim jean

O matter where you go. Party, tavern or dance
“Green” Even the color of everyone’s underpants.

Everywhere I look I see
Young, old or teen
They are all wearing green!

Green, green, green
Even the beer & liquor drinks with cream,

Winter comes in white, St. Patrick is an all different scene…
For all day & night, you better be wearing green!

So this St. Patrick’s Day; don’t be in too much of a stooper
Do it the right way; wear green & you will not get pitched on the pooper.

Happy Birthday Mohammad - Muslim

Moulid (Mawlid) 2010

keywords:

February 26, 2010; Moulid (also spelled Mawlid al-Nabi, Mawlid an-Nabi or Milad al-Nabi) celebrates the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed.

Mawlid al-Nabi in 2010 is on Friday, the 26th of February.

Note that in the Muslim calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Muslims will celebrate Mawlid al-Nabi on the sunset of Thursday, the 25th of February.

Although Mawlid al-Nabi is always on the same day of the Islamic calendar, the date on the Gregorian calendar varies from year to year, since the Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar and the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar. This difference means Mawlid al-Nabi moves in the Gregorian calendar approximately 11 days every year. The date of Mawlid al-Nabi may also vary from country to country depending on whether the moon has been sighted or not.

The dates provided here are based on the dates adopted by the Fiqh Council of North America

for the celebration of Mawlid al-Nabi.

!st Da of Lent - Christian

Dates:
Lent is a forty-day period before Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday. We skip Sundays when we count the forty days, because Sundays commemorate the Resurrection. Lent begins on 17 February 2010 and ends on 3 April 2010, which is the day before Easter.

In the Roman Catholic Church, Lent officially ends at sundown on 1 April (Holy Thursday), with the beginning of the mass of the Lord’s Supper.

Colors:
In most churches, the decorations are purple, the royal color, to prepare for the King. You can read more about color in worship
Scripture Readings:
The Revised Common Lectionary appoints Scripture readings for use in worship during the Season of Lent.
The East:
In Orthodox churches, this season is called the Great Lent. It begins on Clean Monday.
Special Days:
Ash Wednesday, 25 February 2009
The Annunciation, 25 March

Lent is a season of soul-searching and repentance. It is a season for reflection and taking stock. Lent originated in the very earliest days of the Church as a preparatory time for Easter, when the faithful rededicated themselves and when converts were instructed in the faith and prepared for baptism. By observing the forty days of Lent, the individual Christian imitates Jesus’ withdrawal into the wilderness for forty days. All churches that have a continuous history extending before AD 1500 observe Lent. The ancient church that wrote, collected, canonized, and propagated the New Testament also observed Lent, believing it to be a commandment from the apostles. (See The Apostolic Constitutions, Book V, Section III.)

If your church does not observe Lent, you can find out why.

You can read about fasting, which is a spiritual discipline that does not involve starvation or dehydration. You can also read Honest to God for an explanation of what we accomplish by observing Lent.

You can find out about Lenten fasting during medieval timesExternal link. The link even includes a very interesting recipe!

The Western Church

Because Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, we skip over Sundays when we calculate the length of Lent. Therefore, in the Western Church, Lent always begins on Ash Wednesday, the seventh Wednesday before Easter.

In many countries, the last day before Lent (called Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Carnival, or Fasching) has become a last fling before the solemnity of Lent. For centuries, it was customary to fast by abstaining from meat during Lent, which is why some people call the festival Carnival, which is Latin for farewell to meat.

The Eastern Church

The Eastern Church does not skip over Sundays when calculating the length of the Great Lent. Therefore, the Great Lent always begins on Clean Monday, the seventh Monday before Easter, and ends on the Friday before Palm Sunday—using of course the eastern date for Easter. The Lenten fast is relaxed on the weekends in honor of the Sabbath (Saturday) and the Resurrection (Sunday). The Great Lent is followed by Lazarus Saturday and Palm Sunday, which are feast days, then the Lenten fast resumes on Monday of Holy Week. Technically, in the Eastern Church, Holy Week is a separate season from the Great Lent.

Special Days

The purpose of the liturgical calendar is to relive the major events in Jesus’ life in real time, which is why Lent is forty days long. If Jesus were born on 25 December, then His conception—thus also His incarnation—would have been nine months earlier, on about 25 March. That is when the angel Gabriel would have announced Jesus’ birth to Mary. Thus 25 March is known in the historic church as The Annunciation.

Roughly speaking, the western Church consists of Protestants, Catholics, and Anglicans. The eastern Church consists of the Eastern Orthodox churches, the Oriental Orthodox churches, and the eastern-rite churches affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - My Love (Poem)

My Love

My love, my love, you must of been made special from above
My love, my love, for you fit me like a glove

You’re right, you’re right, I’m the one who can love and hold you tight.
You’re right. You’re right. I’ll be there to protect you: I’m your knight.

My dear, my dear, I hold you near,
My dear, my dear, I’ll wipe away any tear.

Your man, your man, I’m not just another guy in the band,
Your man, your man, I’m there to put a wedding ring on your hand,

My baby, my baby, there’s no maybe
My baby, my baby, my wife you will be.

Hay, hay, Look my way!
Hay, hay, Please don’t delay,

It’s you, it’s you, I prayed all my life for this day to come true,
It’s you, it’s you, My bride to be. I love you.

Today, today, let’s plan our wedding day
Today, today, Happy Valentine’s Day

LOVE

When a women a man first find out they are with child. They’re is fear flowing through their minds at thousand miles per hour. When they are thinking of the bills they may have, will have, what will happen with their own youth, will the baby be healthy, stay healthy, will they be able to take care of the baby and so on. All these fears come at once rushing through both his and her head. Also for her… Will it be painful? And for a true man: he will be in fear of & be feeling the same. But once the baby is born. And that baby makes his/her first cry… For a single moment all that fear is gone. The only thing between the parent and the baby at this point: is “Love” … In the English language we sometimes confuse this word, we love cheeseburgers, we love watching movies, eating junk foods and so on. But the word “Love” is more then this. It is deep. With real painful feelings when this love is hurt. That is why one should never play with another person’s emotions. Even if you do not love them; remember the beginning of this… The Parents do love their child. And even if you feel, “Who cares… their parent’s don’t love them… “ Always practice what you preach, & do to others as you want done to you. For if you love yourself. You would only do what you like done to you. It is the same when it comes to others. This is the same with a relationship. Many people wonder why their relationships do not work out. But did they go into the relationship in the intention of the other person as well as themselves or just for themselves in the first place?

A little thing to remember; you can take any male & female dog and put them together to mate: But, you can’t always get those same dogs to eat out of the same dog dish… If you are going out, dancing, or to bars, or where ever, meeting a person partying & drinking & then sleeping with the person, then the next afternoon waking up with them – then asking, “What’s your name?” Your relationship is not based on love… but on selfishness or lust on both parties (He or she didn’t use ether – both just masturbated using the other person’s body to do so.)

If you want to find love; don’t look for it… It will come to you. Naturally. Like a hunter who is hunting a deer in the woods, if he/she is walking or running all around in the woods: he/she would be making so much noise he/she would never get a deer unless it was deaf & dumb or it was just dumb. But if he/she calms down and relaxes and stays still in one place with a nice smell of apples or alfalfa (Something attractive) the deer will come to the hunter. And poof just like cupid’s arrow: you got the deer!

This is the same… Most do not want someone who is desperate, or even looks like they are seeking. So don’t be seeking, just talk, have fun… and treat people, like people. Guy or girl, young, or old… Treat them old the same… just make friends… because when it comes to relationships… Friendships are the most important. If you’re not a friend with your spouse: then you really do not have true love, it’s just a business contract…

My suggestion for a happy life: Do not look for a sexual relationship… those are everywhere & easy to get. I suggest finding a friend who you can talk to and have things in common with & always in the back of your mind you’re always thinking sexual of (Very important… You do not want to marry someone your not sexual with.) This lust will bring your bond closer together. Waiting to have sex together and doing other things first; will allow you to never be board with each other for many years to come. (Notice how many couples have sex & so much fun & love each other so much at the beginning. They’re always holding hands. They’re always only with each other only. He has no other female friends, and she no other male friends… They get married… divorced in 3 years tops…) Not a good relationship… This would be like the deaf  & dumb or just dumb deer that walks up to the hunter.

A tree doesn’t be a leaf & become a root. It starts with a seed with in good soil that is in a good foundation first… then grows to become a tall long living tree with many leaves. I hope your Valentine will be the same.

Love forever … not a one-night thing…

World Love

World Love

It doesn’t matter where you come from

When it comes to love; we all want some.

If you love them a lot
You will feel as if your stomach is in a knot

Anywhere in the world,
When it comes to love, our head starts to twirl.

Love is ai when you’re on your knees
When you say, “Love” in Chinese, or Japanese

While in Russia: And you’re with the one you love
You will say, “Lyubov’ “ for love

If in France:
And you’re going to a dance

If it is the heart you want to win
Then it is the words you say, “Je t`aime.”

Love will sometimes make you sick
While in Germany… you’ll be screaming, “Ich liebe Dich!”

You may want to set your heart free…

In Chinese: You’ll be saying, “Wa Ai Ni!”

With out love… you will feel like a dead duck,
For I love you in Arabic is; “Ahou Bahk”

The one you love may say, “No”
You’ll just reply, “Por Favor, te amo”

Like the air we breathe in…
Love always makes us grin

On a cloudy day
Love will lead us the way

Holding hands & hugging in a park
Watching the moon & stars in the dark

Walking around in the school halls,
Shopping together at the shopping-malls

Staying up all night
Eating dinner to a candle light
It all feels so right

Talking to each other about our secret wish,
Holding each other tight, and giving each other that special kiss

Love is a wonderful thing
It makes our heart sing
It is God’s greatest gift to a happy dream

So let’s all open a bottle of that best wine
And celebrate it with that special Valentine.

Koala Baby & Roo - By Bryan R. Jenks

Once upon a time there was a cute little koala baby bear that was all gray and had fuzzy big ears. He would sit in his eucalyptus tree eating his eucalyptus leaves one by one picking them off the tree with his four thumbs and was eating them nice a slowly.

One-day Koala Baby was sitting in his eucalyptus tree eating his eucalyptus leaves like he always does everyday, minding his own Bears-nest (Business) when all of a sudden he heard a noise… “Bounce, bounce, bounce…” Koala baby’s big ears popped up and he looked all around to see where the noise was coming from??? From the twinkle of his eyes he saw a cute Joey Roo. A Baby Kangaroo! She was brown and fuzzy with long pointy ears and a long tail. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds with love.

Kangaroo jumped up in the tree and sat right next to Koala Baby. Koala Baby has never seen such a cute creature. He was so happy to have a friend. They talked for hours and hours... Later; Roo told koala baby to jump into her pouch and she would show him the outback. He was so excited! He never saw the outback before. He crawled inside… and was ready for a ride! Roo jumped 25 feet up in the air from the tree limb to the ground below. Koala Baby covered his eyes with his big ears for he has never done that before. In fact; he has never been away from his eucalyptus tree ever in his life. He was so scared, but at the same time he knew he was safe in Roo’s pouch. She was hopping so fast and so high up in the air on each bounce. Koala Baby started getting more relaxed and stopped covering his eyes and started enjoying the ride. He was so happy, and Roo was so happy as well to be with Koala Baby.

Later they came back home to Koala Baby’s eucalyptus tree and jumped into his bear’s nest and both started to rest. But just before they went to sleep… Koala Baby reached up to Roo and gave her a kiss. And said, “This has been the best day ever!”

So as time went on… Both Roo and Koala Baby’s relationship did as well. And they got closer and closer, and …

They Lived Happily

Ever After!

Poem - Earth Before Birth

Earth Before Birth

I wonder how I was before my birth,
I wonder how I looked upon the Earth.
A big round planet, with such big girth

A world so round
A place I must be bound,
                         with people all around.

Was I able to look around?

Choose the parents I found?

Choose the place I was born, Safe and sound?

Since on earth we are born,

Our old memories seem to be torn.

But is there still part of the mind…  That still blows the horn?

Of those memories before we were born?

For we all have had day-ja-voo

of our lives, before we are born; like dreams revealed to me and you

And we see all the good and bad we will go through.

Then I wonder even more.

Did we have a choice before we were born?

Be a person or be an angle with the Heavens to sore.

As an angle: God is whom we adore,

as a person.. Should do the same, but is given more

Free will: and the right to choose to explore.

So next time you look up in the sky

Look beyond the clouds, way up high

Think of the place. You once did lie.

The soul is the key,

And one’s will is free,

So it’s up to us to see

Where our soul is to go

We do not know,

Be with a free will… Die in sin and it will go low.

Live your life right

The Heavens will be your light,

and back to the Heavens to see; a World out of sight.

In Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr.

We go into this march with one thing,
Man, Woman, Child and teen,

We walk this street and sing,
Or just scream

Words of the Jr. Martin Luther King,
Who only had one theme…

White, Black, Red & Yellow would be one team
Freedom for all was his dream.

May we live in this nation as one ring
And to stop the hate from those who choose hate & are mean

To build love for all and make the world clean
we march together shoulder-to-shoulder we cling

To all nations, president, king, or queen
Martin Luther King Jr’s message was about one thing,

He had a dream,
Equal rights for all was his scene,

TRAVEL OF 3 KINGS

As the Star starts to shift
Its time for the Kings to give their gift.

Way up high on their camel they ride
carrying gifts to give with pride.

One King gives gold
for the son of God has been born - It’s been foretold

The other King gives frankincense to top it
For the prophecy says He will be a great prophet.

And the Last King has Mere next to his kneeler
For the prophecy says He will be a great healer.

The kings ring in single file, Camel's head to tail.
Following a star… To give Christ the King: great Hail.

One by one they come to His feet.
They set their gifts down real neat.

They give praise to our lord
with their love over poured.

We are kings of man
who are not worthy of your Bran

For you are the King of Kings
The son of God… Who makes everything

We Kneel down
We take off our crown

For you our King
These Gifts we bring

We humble our selves to you
And we will follow your way: that is true.

You made it just in time... for a rhyme...

Rhyme

Does a Poem have to rhyme

Every time?

Then does this mean a home

must always be in the shape of a dome

somewhere in Rome?

Paul:

Would always be on a call

On his cell phone in the mall

And Fred…

He’d always be in bed:

Till the day he’s dead.

Bill and Jill…

They would always get their fill

of dill

Working at the Pickle Mill

With Will

Till the day they take the pill

That will kill.

A boat

would always be driven by a goat

to an island that is remote.
Or else they will drown when the boat
                                                    Can't float.

Why is it that the poem has to rhyme

Every time?

For it to be worth even a dime.

Like it would be a crime

If it didn’t rhyme

Every time.

The End

Friend!

WELCOME TO WISHLAMP 2010!

www.WISHLAMP.com was created by Bryan R. Jenks of JENKS INDUSTRIES in the effort to help others help others. When It was first created it was on it's own web site and had many people's music and art from all over the world. but one day got hacked into and all that information was lost. Bryan's health is not the best & is is very hard for him to build back what he once had by himself. So he rebuilt what he could piggybacked on many other networks. The sad part about that is... those networks never seem to stay. (MSN, Yahoo 360 and so on. so he keeps building them up... and once that network falls he has to start all over.)

Right now Bryan had a mini stroke in August 2009 and has been off work with out pay ever since. It has been very hard for him these past months. So that is why I'm asking for him... for your help. He needs people who are willing to take up a subject. (Cars, child care, what ever) and just write about it. that's all you have to do... at least once a month. It would make a difference. WISHLAMP also can be found on FaceBook, Multipy, MySpace, Windows Live, & WISHLAMP YAHOO GROUP so if you have one of these as well as another type of blog... you can help by posting on your blog what you would and copy it on the WISHLAMP page as well.

Also anyone who needs help, or can help someone. please feel feel to post your wishes as well in the correct subject. If you just want to sell something... you can do that as well.. but please post in the correct subject. or use our BUY N SELL or  CLASSIFIED ADD links. (Please do not post your sales adds in the wrong subject. this is unfair to all as well as yourself... per no one that you want will be looking for it if it's in the wrong location.)

If you have any questions feel free to contact us as thewishlamp@hotmail.com or jenksindustries@hotmail.com

May your wish come true at www.WISHLAMP.com

Have A drink for the New Year & Relax

Drink to the New Year

Sit down for a while, and have a drink,
It will open your mind, and let you think,

Coffee or tea,
          Will make the mind free,

Beer or wine,
          they sound fine,
What ever makes you have a great time.

The New Year is here…
Time to relax and enjoy that beer.

Coffee with cream…
will keep you up to daydream.

Or have a pop…
Fill the glass to the top.

What ever it takes to make your worries drop.

May all your worries go away…

and may you have a Great new day.

The year is new,
          and may happiness follow you…

I wish you all a great New Year.
What ever you are drinking; Soda, Coffee, tea, wine or beer,
I hope it brings you great cheer!
                             HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

NEW YEAR 2010

Weeble, wobble
Till we tobble

We grab our beer.
And we say our cheer!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

May it be the best!
May we all be blessed!

With a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We talk, till our thoughts are unwound
Then we dance around

Hold that some one dear.
And give that kiss… HAPPY NEW YEAR!
